This is the most fabulous mascara ever created! My lashes have never looked so wonderful and there is never any smearing or black smudge under my eyes - even if I fall asleep with it on. To remove all you need is a cloth or a tissue and some warm water and it come off lash by lash! There are just lines of mascara on the tissue and again - no black smudge. It may be a little pricey ($22 - SEPHORA), but in my opinion WORTH EVERY PENNY!
